THE SMITH FAMILY
Communities for Children Facilitating Partner

This project is designed to improve the overall wellbeing of families and children through self-empowerment and building of parent child relationships within the family unit. Parent and caregiver workshops will encourage, educate, and empower them to build independence and resilience in managing their households. This will drive intrinsic motivation, providing families with autonomy and the opportunity to make meaningful contribution to the family.

The school holiday project will provide engaging woodwork workshops for children and parents/caregivers to build take-home projects. During this time, they will work together on deepening their relationship as well as building social connections, communication skills, managing conflict, making decisions, and increasing resilience.
